So I just landed in Taipei City, Taiwan last night and I couldn’t be more excited to explore this very wonderful city.
Quite a few Filipinos are scared to travel into Taiwan because we are required to get a Taiwanese Visa. Us Filipinos know how difficult a visa is to acquire ’cause you know, #thirdworldproblems. However, I’d like to bust that myth. It’s actually pretty easy to get a Taiwanese Visa in Manila.
Normally you need check out the website of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in the Philippines. You can just click HERE to be redirected to their website.
Now there are three different types of tourist visas; there’s the e-Visa, Stop/Stay Visa, and the Visa Exempt.
The visa type that I got is the Visa Exempt because I had a valid United States Visa, and I just had to show the Immigration Officers that visa and they let me into the country. How cool is that? Citizens from the Philippines, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos who has a valid visa to the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea (to name a few) can enter the country without a visa. To know more, just click HERE.
Filipino Citizens can now acquire an e-Visa! Yay! The procedure is pretty easy. You just have to fill up the visa application form and pay the application fee online. You can learn more about the e-Visa by clicking HERE.
There’s not much information that’s indicated with regards to the Stop/Stay Visa but you can contact the Taiwanese Embassy by calling/texting them at +6328876688, or just simply click HERE to be redirected to their website.
Now I’ve only been to Taiwan for a few hours but I’m so in love with the country already! I can’t wait to post more of my experiences about this wonderful country soon!
“And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.”
