If you did not know this about me, well, I love movies. I love watching them, I love making them, and I love going to the cinema to watch them. For me, there is no better way to relax than to head over to the cinema and watch newly released movies. So I have decided to share with you my favourite movies.

I have a lot of musical and historical influences. I love watching musicals, movies about historical fiction, thriller, and all those stuff. I also am not a very big fan of rom-coms, I must say. Which is pretty surprising, because I, sometimes, feel like I live in one big rom-com. But to be quite honest, I would take thriller over rom-coms, any day.

So here are [some of] my favourite movies…of all time, yes. Are you ready?

The Godfather Trilogy

This is, definitely, at the very top of my list. I just love a good Godfather movie marathon…honestly thinking about doing another one tonight (!!!), not even joking.

Can I also just say that I love the third one more than the second one because I really like Sofia Coppola’s portrayal? I know, it is kind of controversial to say that. But this is my blog and that is just my opinion. Hahaha!

If you have not seen this movie, I beg of you to do so. You are seriously missing out on life!

Gone with the Wind

Gone with the Wind is one of the movies that I re-watch every Christmas. I do not even know why, but it just became a self tradition so…

I love this movie so much that I went to Georgia to just go to the GWTW Museum, and to Stately Oaks Plantation; the place where Margaret Mitchell (the author) was inspired to write GWTW. I also have a collector’s edition GWTW book! Talk about obsession, lmfao.

Funny Face

To be honest, I will take Funny Face over Breakfast at Tiffany’s any day. I just love Audrey Hepburn and a good movie musical any day. Plus, Fred Astaire’s performance was exceptional!

I watch this movie whenever I feel down and feel like my life has been on the downhill, then after watching it, I gfeel very happy again. That is the magic of cinema, folks.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

Harry Potter and hthe Godblet of Fire is my favourite installment on the Harry Potter franchise. I do not even know why, but there is just something special about this movie.

Although, I do re-watch all the Harry Potter movies every Halloween. So, it is time to do another HP marathon. Now, who is with me?!

Now here is a fun fact for you all: at the time of my birth, my mother was so obsessed with this movie that she really thought about naming me Barbara Hershey. Thank goodness she came to her senses and did not do it.

This movie resonates with me on a deeper level because one of my aunts also died, and I feel like I can relate to Bette Midler’s character? So whenever I feel like I need a good cry, I just prop up and put this movie on. You guys, seriously, need to watch this!

This movie came out in 1995, and that was the year before I was born.

Devon Sawa was, definitely, my childhood crush…so was Casper. To be fair, I grew up watching this movie every Halloween. I guess that is why I love it.

The Breakfast Club

I mean, come on now. Who does not love The Breakfast Club? I actually have a TBC film poster that is kept in my room. I have not find the time to have it framed yet so it is in my safe keeping. I will, definitely, have it hung on my future home to have a gentle reminder that Molly Ringwald is still my queen. Ha!

I love a good thriller movie, and I think that the Scream franchise is on the top of my list!

Now and Then

Here is another movie from my childhood that I love…maybe because Devon Sawa was here too!

I used to watch this movie with my childhood best friend, Ysh, and we would just ball our eyes out because it was so good. Such a great movie about friendship, transitioning into adulthood and summer all into one. In the future, I will force my future children to watch this because it is just so good. Heh!

Begin Again

This is one of my newer favourites. I love the story, the music, the city and the characters. A well thought of movie musical, I must say. Also, I used to watch this every single day just after I broke up with my (most recent) ex boyfriend and it really helped me cope. It is that good.

The Smurfs

To be honest, I am so obsessed with The Smurfs. I love them and this is my happy movie.

Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland is also another happy movie and favourite of mine. I said to myself that when I turn 30, I will have an Alice in Wonderland themed party. Because, why not?

Stand by Me

Here is another classic movie that I love. Stand by Me is also a movie based on friendship and a great summer. I feel like this is the boy version of Now and Then. Well, SBM was released much earlier than Now and Then, so yeah. I love it.

So there they are; my favourite movies. How many have you seen in my list?

I also would like to clarify that these are the movies that I really love and have no problem watching over and over again. I, literally, watched The Smurf and Begin Again non-stop for two weeks. That’s how hard I binge, lmfao. I really, really love The Smurfs. It, definitely, is an addiction. I feel like it is one thing from my childhood that I incorporated in my adulthood. Just the best!

Oh, what are you favourite movies? I would love to know, and maybe, even give them a watch. Comment them below! I also hope that you all may have a great weekend ahead. Blessings!
