Mental health; a topic which is not very widely and publicly talked about.
I have previously struggled with mental health issues and it is not something to be embarrassed about. A lot of people have struggled with their mental health too, and lately, quite a few people have lost to suicide.
I have discovered a website where you can talk to therapists and doctors and active trained listeners who could guide you and help you through your mental health journey. This website is called 7 Cups of Tea, and I find it very useful and helpful. I have talked to a lot of people through this website, and I have also helped a lot of people who have been struggling to find the silver lining in their lives. I don’t know but there is just something about knowing that somebody is there to listen to you.
Navigating through 7 Cups of Tea is particularly easy. You can sign up as a guest, member or listener. Personally, I started shifting as a listener as soon as I realised how powerful this platform is, and how you could change somebody’s life just by listening to them. It’s a very amazing and powerful thing. If you do sign up as a member, you can look for me (@girlabroad) and I will be more than willing to listen to you and to guide you in your walk.
Also, here is the National Suicide Prevention Hotline for the United States: +1 (800) 273 8255. As for the Philippines, +63917 854 9191 and (02) 896 91 91.
Hang in there. Always be kind. Know that somebody is there to help you. God bless, everyone!
“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.”
James 1:17 NIV
