When I was younger, I would look at photographs of different people taken on different parts of this world. I envied them, but most importantly, they inspired me. And for this week’s dose of travel inspiration, here are 10 of my favourite travel accounts on Instagram. These are the people that I could only wish to have known personally because they are wonderful, creative and knowledgeable people whom I admire.
So before I blabber on, here are my 10 of my favourite travel accounts on Instagram:
(In no particular order.)
How Far From Home
by Chanel Cartell and Stevo Dirnberger
(Photograph grabbed from How Far From Home’s blog.)
Even before I started my travel blog, I have been following Chanel and Stevo’s adventure on Instagram. I loved how brave they were and how dynamic, creative and inspirational their personalities are. Their work are also amazing.
by Christian LeBlanc
(Photograph grabbed from Skype.)
I guess I just Christian’s adventurous attitude and talent is just a recipe for success in the travel industry. Also, his vlogs are really very helpful and informative.
P.S. I’m On My Way
by Trisha Velarmino
(Photograph grabbed from P.S. I’m On My Way’s blog.)
I think out of all the people in this list, I can very much relate to Trisha the most because we both are Filipinos. Sharing the Philippine Passport means sharing the pain, stress and frustration we all have to go through just to get visas. But I salute her for following her dreams and for setting an example to our fellow countrymen who aims and aspires to take on a career in the travel industry.
by Matthew Massa
(Photograph grabbed from Matthew Massa’s website.)
I actually just followed Matthew fairly recently. His mostly captures the great outdoors and the beauty that Canada has to offer.
by Nuseir Yassin
(Photograph grabbed from Enfnts Terribles.)
I have been an avid fan of Nas because of his 1-minute videos on Facebook. His videos are great and informative, plus his character and persona is very humble and down to earth.
by Miguel Bruna
(Photograph grabbed from Unsplash.)
I originally found Miguel via Unsplash when I was looking a cover for my book. This was the original photograph that I chose. I just fell in love with the way he creates, and I find his photographs soothing in a way.
by Hildegunn Taipale
(Photograph grabbed from Pinterest.)
I also just followed Hildegunn fairly recently. I guess what attracted me to her account was the fact that she loves travelling and that she is a Christian as well.
You may check out Hildegunn’s Instagm using the handle @hilvees.
World of Wanderlust
by Brooke Saward
(Photograph grabbed from World of Wanderlust’s blog.)
I look up to Brooke a lot and I am just amazed at how beautiful her photographs always end up looking. I also am guilty of watching a lot (maybe too much) of her videos on YouTube.
Fun For Louis
by Louis Cole
(Photograph grabbed from Vanity Fair.)
I have been following Louis’ adventures for quite some time now and I can say how in awe I am of his works. His YouTube videos are a must watch especially when you’re craving the great outdoors!
by Jessica Wright
(Photograph grabbed from Bon Traveler’s blog.)
I lost track on how I stumbled upon Jessica’s account on Instagram, but one day I just saw her photograph and decided to follow along on her adventures. She is a mix of chic and adventure.
There you have it, 10 of my favourite travel accounts on Instagram. Whenever you’re feeling blue or stuck in a place, you can find solace in knowing that there is so much more out there. The world is meant to be explored, so work hard, save up and just get out there!
I hope you all have a very lovely weekend, wherever you may be.
